Current-Sensorless Control Strategy for the MPPT of a PV Cell: An Energy-Based Approach

A novel energy-based modelling and control strategy is developed implemented to solve the maximum power point tracking problem when a photovoltaic cell array connected consumption loads. mathematical model that contains key characteristic parameters of an energy converter stage proposed recast using port-Hamiltonian framework. The system consists input-output port pairs storage dissipating elements. Then, current-sensorless loop for designed, acting over following interconnection damping assignment passivity-based strategy. performance compared (classical) sliding mode law. Our in hardware platform with sampling rate 122 Hz, resulting lower dynamic other strategies. Numerical simulations experimental results validate law approach.
